A new group has been created on LinkedIn for alumni of Athabasca University’s Centre for Distance Education. Also welcome are faculty, staff, current CDE students, and Alumni Relations. One of the topics that will likely continue from the more general Athabasca University Alumni group is the recent change of the Master of Distance Education to Master of Education in Distance Education. It will be great to reconnect with past programme colleagues.

E-Learning Technology Network of TURKEY for E-Learning Professionals
I decided to join this group today after an announcement from @omeroz on Twitter. There appears to be an interest in having international representation, and it is certainly a way for me to add to my oversees exposure. The group is fairly new and has limited members (13) at this moment. However, the structure of the site is such that it should encourage the sharing of ed tech resources. The blog feed seems to incorporate the posts from a number of blogs contributed by members. For this reason, I’ve decided to not just join and hope I remember to return. I’m going to start blogging when I become a part of different communities, for my quick reference and to share with virtual colleagues.
