I had the pleasure of attending the ‘Investigative Collaboration & Best Practices: Fraud and Organized Crime Training Conference,’ held at The Banff Centre, April 20 to 23, 2015. The semi-annual conference is a partnership between the Alberta Motor Association and the Prairies Chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, with support from the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams. Speakers represented the FBI, INTERPOL, RCMP, Alberta Securities Commission, Interac, Bank of Canada, WestJet, Telus. MNP, IBM, SRT Wireless, Service Alberta, TransUnion Canada, University of Calgary, Regina Police Service, Xpera Risk Mitigation & Investigation, and the National Cyber-Forensics & Training Alliance. In addition to the learning each day, networking continued throughout the conference with participants representing many different organizations.
My photos are not of the event itself, but there are a number of scenic shots from Banff.
