Darlene Hildebrandt, an Edmonton professional photographer, issued a new monthly challenge on her website and blog, Digital Photo Mentor. The challenge is to use only one lens for 30 days. If you use a zoom lens, the idea is to stick with one focal length. Using one lens is an opportunity to really get to know it and what it can and cannot do for your photography.
I have accepted the challenge. With my new Pentax K-3 camera, I am using a new Pentax 50mm f/1.8 lens for this period. While a lot of the photos will be for the purpose of trying different shots, I hope to have a few decent ones worthy of sharing.
